Credit Report
You have the choice of receiving and reviewing your statutory credit report or a business credit report at any point in time. Calling credit reporting agencies such as Experian, Equifax and Transunion, and requesting an instant credit report is the easiest way to view these reports. You will generally request this report in order to repair and improve your credit with the help of a credit repair agency. There are several things to take into account that may generate a problem with your report:
When judgments are put into action by a court, they are visible on your credit report for at least six years from the date the action was taken. Credit reporting agencies generally receive this information from organizations.
Typically when a judgment is fully paid within in month’s time, it will be removed from your report as soon as the agency has been given the certificate of satisfaction from the courts. If it takes longer than a month for a judgment to be fully paid, your credit report will be marked with “satisfied†rather than the judgment being removed, when the agency receives the certificate of satisfaction from the courts.
Should you feel that a judgment has been filed against you incorrectly, be sure to retrieve your case file number and call the county courts that have issued the judgment. Upon review, if the information is incorrect as you have said, the judgment will be taken from your record.
